Education and Cultivation
The educational program of the Rockin’ Robins classroom provides many learning opportunities through a host of different themes. These topics will reflect the children's interests and offer them age-appropriate experiences. The children are able to observe and explore in a variety of ways over an extended period. These topics will always connect with our curriculum goals and objectives. Rockin’ Robins will be offered teacher-directed activities as well as child-initiated play in a play-based environment.
Focus on Literacy
Our Rockin’ Robins classroom has a huge focus on literacy. Our learning environment is print-rich, showing the children that the written word has meaning and giving them the tools to communicate. The Rockin' Robins teachers find creative ways to incorporate reading readiness, math, and science on a daily basis. As early childhood educators, we ask open-ended questions to encourage problem-solving and logical thinking. We also encourage classroom responsibilities to promote independence and high self-esteem. The Rockin’ Robins will be using the pre-K edition of the Weekly Reader during the year.
