Prioritizing Proper Development
Our program goal for our infant rooms is to provide a loving and caring atmosphere that provides a sense of safety and security to each and every infant in order to promote individual development. In the infant program there is no structured schedule. Infants’ needs are met as they are demanded. This means that bottles, food, naps, playtime, and diapers will be provided and addressed as needed. Our parents/guardians are responsible for providing formula or breast milk, food, snacks, diapers and wipes, and any other things your baby may need. We provide those in our Waddler Room opportunities to self-feed, socialize, explore, play, and much more.
The Rooms
We are fortunate to have two infant-aged rooms and are usually able to keep a younger baby room (Infant Room) and an older baby room (Waddler Room). Each baby is unique and therefore will develop at different speeds. Babies move from one infant room to the next based on readiness, not age. In addition to abilities, personalities, and temperament, there are many considerations that we factor in when determining when a baby will move on to the next room. We appreciate your input on this decision. However, please keep in mind that we spend up to 10 hours a day with your child and know how they function in a group setting. We try our best to move everyone at the right time.
Communication
Communication is the most important ingredient in a successful relationship. In the Infant and Waddler rooms, we have implemented a communication service through an app called DailyConnect. This app updates you in real time about what your child is doing here, such as when they have their diaper changed, take a nap, eat lunch or snacks, and more. If DailyConnect isn’t updated in a timely manner, it may be due to connection issues but rest assured, your baby’s needs are being met.
Please keep us in the loop about events that may have an effect on your baby’s day. We know how difficult it can be to be a working parent. Many of us have children of our own that we miss during the day. It makes us feel better to know how our children are doing. You are more than welcome to call us during the day. If you have any questions at all, please ask. We are here for you and your baby.
